Who is the founder of Labor Day?
After over hundred years and each of those years we celebrated Labor Day and we still don't know who the founder is or was. Some speculate that Peter J. McGuire, general secretary of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners and a co founder of the American Federation of Labor could possibly be the founder of Labor Day. But some say that Matthew Maguire, a machinist, could possibly also be the founder and not Peter J. McGuire.
